Sustainable, maintenance-free urban furniture
At the Real Club de Polo of Barcelona
At the Real Club the Polo of Barcelona, we have contributed to the refurbishment of the club’s outdoor furniture.
The objective was to equip the different areas of the club with solutions capable of withstanding intensive use, while delivering maximum durability and requiring no maintenance.
For the tennis courts, where irrigation is continuous and humidity is part of the everyday environment, the Ecocity WPC bench was selected.
The combination of WPC slats and recycled thermoplastic legs makes it an ideal solution for this type of setting. It withstands constant moisture, UV radiation and the impacts associated with sporting activity without deteriorating over time.
In the spectator seating area, the chosen model was the MODO08 bench, manufactured from PRM with cast iron legs.
This combination of materials provides outstanding resistance to continuous use while maintaining an elegant appearance that blends seamlessly into one of Spain’s leading sporting venues.
The project is completed with the installation of ALVIUM planters, manufactured from polyethylene in a corten-effect finish. Their appearance complements the surrounding furniture, helping to create more attractive and welcoming relaxation areas for members and visitors alike.
With this project, Grup Fábregas demonstrates that choosing sustainable and recyclable materials makes it possible to deliver solutions designed to meet the demanding requirements of high-performance sports facilities for many years to come.
